The above fees include a programme of tournaments and coaching of the Junior classes by Federation Master Leonard McLaren. On occasions another senior player may run a group training session, open to Juniors and Seniors. Also included is a New Zealand Chess Federation registration fee of $20 for all players, which means a player can enter tournaments without paying an extra tournament fee. We continue to hold nationally rated tournaments at our Club, in affiliation with the New Zealand Chess Federation. Our annual Latvian tournament is also internationally rated, in affiliation with FIDE, the World Chess Federation.
